Academic & Extra-curricular activities of MGPGIDS students

 

Student Achievements: December 2024 – May 2025

The Student Advisory Committee of MGPGIDS is committed to fostering student development through academic, co-curricular, and socially responsible initiatives. The following achievements highlight the active participation and commendable performance of our students during the period from December 2024 to May 2025:

  1. Viksit Bharat Yuva Festival 2025
    As part of the nationwide celebrations, the committee coordinated the Viksit Bharat Yuva Festival 2025, encouraging student participation in the quiz competition conducted on campus on December 5, 2024. Based on their performance, eight students qualified for the state-level round, and three students were selected to participate at the national level, reflecting the academic excellence and enthusiasm of our student community.

  2. Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025
    The committee successfully organized and facilitated student participation in the Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament 2025. First- and second-year BDS students were actively involved, resulting in seven students advancing to the district-level, two to the divisional-level, and one student securing selection for the national-level proceedings. This achievement underscores the leadership potential and civic awareness among our students.

  3. Traffic Awareness Programme – Helmet Safety Campaign
    In collaboration with the Traffic Police Department, Puducherry, a Traffic Awareness Programme was conducted on January 10, 2025, at Rock Beach, Puducherry. The campaign focused on the importance of helmet usage and road safety, with enthusiastic participation from our students, thereby promoting responsible citizenship and public health advocacy.

  4. Learner’s License Registration (LLR) Camp
    An LLR Issuing Camp was organized on February 28, 2025, in association with the Traffic Police Department at the Conference Hall, MGPGIDS. The initiative enabled students to apply for their learner’s licenses efficiently and served as an important step in reinforcing traffic awareness and compliance among future professionals.

  5. Webinar on Expansion of Medical Education – Live Telecast
    The committee coordinated the live telecast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address and webinar titled “Expansion of Medical Education”, hosted by the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, on March 5, 2025. The event, held at the Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan A/C Seminar Hall, provided students with valuable insights into the evolving landscape of medical education and the future of healthcare in India.

These activities exemplify the institute’s commitment to holistic student development and the nurturing of responsible, well-informed healthcare professionals.
