B.D.S. COURSES

Forty students are admitted each year to the B.D.S. course, of which 29 are from the Union Territory of Puducherry. The admissions to these seats are made on merit basis through NEET by the Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Govt. of Puducherry. 6 seats are allotted under the All India quota and are sponsored by the Director General of Health Services (DGHS), Govt. of India, New Delhi, through NEET. Admissions to the remaining 5 seats, which are reserved to NRI/ Foreign students, are made on merit, as declared by CENTAC, Government of Puducherry. If there are no NRI Foreign candidate available/ applied, NRI seats will be filled by Management quota seats. As far as the management fee is concerned, it will be as per the fee fixed by Fee Committee framed by the Government of Puducherry.

M.D.S. COURSES

Thirteen students are admitted each year to MDS courses in six specialities out of which 5 seats are allotted to the Union Territory of Puducherry. The selection of the domicile candidates are made on merit basis through NEET. Six seats i.e.50% are allotted to All India Quota and are filled by the Director General of Health Services (DGHS), Govt. of India, New Delhi, purely on merit basis. One seat, which is reserved for NRI / Foreign students, is also filled on merit basis, through NEET. One MDS seat in the speciality of Department of Oral Pathology and Microbiology earmarked for defence quota has been converted into State Quota from the academic year 2013-14, which is shared between the State Quota and All India Quota in alternative years on a reciprocal basis.
