This Institution has been functioning as CoViD Care Centre w.e.f.26.06.2020 to 24.10.2020 during the first wave of COVID-19 and total No. of patient admitted and treated were 467. During the fresh resurge of COVID-19(second wave) it has been functioning as CoViD Care Centre w.e.f.11.04.2021 to 17.07.2021. A total No. of 544 COVID positive cases were treated with the bed strength of 46 beds.
This institution is also functioning as Vaccination Centre w.e.f. 02.03.2021.
This institution is also functioning as COVID testing centre i.e. Rapid Antigen Test (RAT)
The PSA-O2 100 lpm capacity plant has been installed in MGPGI with the financial assistance of Govt. of India for O2 Plant Components & installation and for O2 Plant shelter, pipe lines etc. assisted from the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s Relief Fund of Puducherry Govt. The same was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Puducherry on 28.05.2021 and now is functioning well. 25 O2 points have been provided to Wards and 4 O2 points have been provided to Operation Theatre (O.T).
